Results are estimates
Every calculator on PowerCalcLab models a simplified version of a real system. Real batteries age, sag under load and behave differently in the cold; real inverters vary in efficiency with load; real appliances rarely draw their nameplate power. Treat results as planning figures and leave margin.
Electrical work
Calculations involving current, conductors, protective devices or installation design are one input to a design, not the design itself. Wiring rules differ by country and by installation conditions, and a number from this site is not evidence of compliance with any code or standard. Electrical work should be designed, installed and verified by someone qualified to do it where you live.
Battery safety
Lithium and lead-acid batteries store a great deal of energy and can be dangerous when short-circuited, over-charged, over-discharged, damaged or charged outside their permitted temperature range. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific battery and battery management system.
Typical values
Default figures such as depth of discharge, Peukert exponents and conversion efficiencies are typical published values used as starting points. They are not specifications for your equipment. Where you have a datasheet, use its numbers instead.
No warranty
The site is provided without warranty of any kind. If you believe a calculator is wrong, please report it — corrections come first.
